Research: Which Skills Matter

My last strand of research focuses on unpacking cultural toolkits. What are these tools, how do we measure them, and which matter? Although sociologists, psychologists, and economists are focusing more attention on the role of cultural, social and behavioral, and non-cognitive skills in predicting children’s outcomes, there remains much work to be done to specify which skills matter, when, and how.
